While fighting is going on in southern Israel, couples from the area will be able to marry at the Armonot Chen banquet halls during daylight hours, free of charge!

Also: preparations underway for assistance to residents of southern Israel, and for activity aimed at benefiting children and soldiers

As soon as Operation Protective Edge (Tsuk Eitan) was launched, the well-known charitable organization Chasdei Naomi started preparing to assist the residents of southern Israel in whatever way possible.

Acknowledging the special circumstances that currently prevail, the Chasdei Naomi administration announced that the organization’s six Armonot Chen banquet halls will be available to brides and grooms who were scheduled to marry in the areas where fighting is going on.

The spaces will be available to the couples during daylight hours, free of charge! Moreover, Chasdei Naomi volunteers will help update all invited guests by phone about the change of location.

Chasdei Naomi volunteers are also working hard to organize day camps for children in southern Israel, bringing groups of children each day to the center of the country to enjoy the use of Chasdei Naomi’s inflatable castles and other attractions.

Chasdei Naomi’s logistics centers are witnessing intensive activity: candy and gifts are being collected for children in southern Israel, and packages are being distributed to soldiers stationed in combat zones.

Rabbi Yosef Cohen, Chair of Chasdei Naomi: “As we did during Operation Pillar of Defense, so are we doing now, both in terms of making the banquet halls available to residents and providing assistance to the children of southern Israel. There is north and there is south, but just a single Jewish heart that cares for others and embraces them; and so our volunteers are determined to do whatever they can to make things easier for the residents of the south and for the soldiers.”
