Let us save Haim

We shall begin with Haim’s dream:
A wheelchair, which would carry him together with his accompanying respirator, and that at long last he may get out of his home to enjoy the sunshine, and not only to be driven in the ambulance to the hospital and back home.

And Haim’s parents have also dreams….:

To have money to buy the medications and obtain the medical treatments that would give a chance to their son Haim. Ah, and one more little dream: to sleep only one full night in their bed, just normal sleep without hearing the incessant monitor beeps, 24 hours per day. That’s it in short….

If you want to read more on the terrible pain and suffering of Haim and his family, please keep reading on.

For how long can you hold your breath?
Try to hold it, for how long can you manage it: ten seconds, twenty? May be one minute?
Haim, a sweet 4 years old child, cannot breathe by himself. He was born with Down’s syndrome, suffered from a total system collapse after a complicated surgical intervention. Today, he receives artificial respiration 24 hours per day, seven days a week, through various machines and treatments, which cost a fortune.

For the last few years, his parents can hardly sleep at all, and are tied to his bed day and night. They cannot go to work for their subsistence. The possibility of leaving him under some private medical supervision is not an option right now, because it would cost many thousands of shekels per month, which they surely cannot afford. Their only source of income is the disability pension, which hardly covers the numerous medications and medical treatments, without mentioning the daily needs and other expenses necessary for themselves and the other children, living in this home, which cries for help.

Haim dreams only of one thing, to get out of his home, breathe the warm sunny air, soft like a caress.

Right now he cannot do that because he does not have a wheelchair, which has to be ordered and produced especially for him at the cost of tens of thousands of shekels: this wheelchair has to fit his size and include all the medical instruments, which must accompany him like the respirator and others….
In the next few days, the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization will publish on its Internet website all Haim’s medical documents and his full story.

The donations, made through the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization, are supervised by the accountant Moshe Ross.
