Decoration of the 40th Anniversary

During an impressive ceremony, which took place at the Jerusalem Congress Center of the Binyanei Ha’oomah Theater, Rabbi Uri Lupoliansky Mayor of The City of Jerusalem awarded “the 40 – Years” Decoration to “The Hasdei Naomi” Organization, in gratitude for its activities in the city.

The participants from all walks of public life that filled up the hall, among them Rabbis, public figures and heads of large institutions, gave a standing ovation to Rabbi Yossef Cohen, Chairman of “The Hasdei Naomi” Organization, at the moment he was called on the podium to receive from the Mayor’s hands the prestigious decoration of the City of Jerusalem : “The 40 – Years” Decoration.

Everyone pointed out in great satisfaction, that indeed “The Hasdei Naomi” Organization was well deserving this prize and even more prizes for its great activities in the relief of the general public.

Rabbi Yossef Cohen, Chairman of “The Hasdei Naomi” Organization, said that in these days “The Hasdei Naomi” Jerusalem Branch celebrates 20 years of activity. Then Rabbi Yossef Cohen said : “the 40 – Years” Decoration is dedicated to the thousands of volunteers and workers in the greater Jerusalem area, who spend days and nights to bring relief and good will to the general public”.

This special evening, which included a Melaveh Malkah Meal [the fourth meal eaten at the end of the Sabbath], was enlivened by the singers Avremi Roth, Mendy Werdyger, Haim Eliezer Hershtik and the prodigy boy Shayele Reinhartz, accompanied by a large orchestra under the direction of Yuval Stopel and the municipal Children Choir “Shiro shel Olam”, what an entertainment for quite a memorable event.
