Chasdei Naomi is one of Israel’s oldest and most respected nonprofit organizations, and a national leader in welfare support. For over 40 years, we have worked to alleviate the fear and uncertainty of food insecurity for thousands of needy families, widows, orphans, senior citizens, and Holocaust survivors across the country.
Our mission is to provide a reliable safety net, so parents can focus on nurturing their children with love and stability, rather than worrying about their next meal. We believe that when basic needs are met, families are empowered to grow, thrive, and build a stronger future.
Every month, we stand beside thousands of families in need, widows, orphans, senior citizens, and Holocaust survivors through 40 distribution centers across Israel.
With compassion and care, we provide infant formula for struggling mothers, monthly stipends for orphans, nourishing food packages, fresh fruits and vegetables, warm clothing for the cold months, and even help orphans celebrate their weddings with dignity and joy.
Our impact is made possible by a powerful network of 20,000 volunteers, generous donors, and trusted corporate and agricultural partners. Together, we serve Israel’s most vulnerable populations with compassion, dignity, and unwavering commitment.
Our Background
Chasdei Naomi began with a single act of kindness. Forty years ago, Mr. Yosef Cohen, a school bus driver, noticed that some of the children on his route were coming to school hungry. Quietly and anonymously, he began delivering food to their homes. Word spread, and others joined his efforts.
What started small has become a nationwide movement of giving. Today, Chasdei Naomi provides critical assistance to over 25,000 families, widows, orphans, seniors, and Holocaust survivors across Israel , always with warmth, attention, and respect.
Thanks to its meaningful impact, Chasdei Naomi has earned widespread recognition, including a letter of appreciation from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
