Shavuot Holiday Approaches – Chasdei Naomi Already Preparing
Just before Shavuot, dairy product prices are rising again, and as they do every year, Chasdei Naomi is launching their Shavuot project. In preparation for the holiday, the organization will begin distributing coolers with a variety of dairy products, ensuring that even those with limited means can celebrate Shavuot around a festive and dignified table.
For thousands of Holocaust survivors currently living in Israel, many of whom live in isolation and difficult financial circumstances, purchasing dairy products for the holiday is not a given. The recent wave of price increases has only worsened their economic distress, causing many to forgo basic products like cheese, fruits and vegetables, and even medications.
Holocaust survivors are all too familiar with the feeling of hunger; at Chasdei Naomi, they ensure these survivors never have to feel that again. Chasdei Naomi is already preparing for Shavuot, making arrangements to distribute food baskets with a variety of fresh dairy products to as many people as possible, including Holocaust survivors, the elderly, and impoverished families.
For Chasdei Naomi to succeed in bringing holiday joy to many people facing economic hardship, the organization needs public support. Thanks to donations and support, Chasdei Naomi can reach tens of thousands of recipients and many others who are falling into poverty. Chasdei Naomi distributes holiday packages containing quality dairy products for the holiday to those in need.
