For families struggling to make ends meet, for elderly people living alone, and for Holocaust survivors who should never have to worry about where their next meal will come from, the holidays can be especially difficult.
At Chasdei Naomi, we work year-round to make sure people in need across Israel can celebrate the holidays with food on their tables and the knowledge that someone cares.
But we cannot do this alone.
Preparing the thousands of food boxes distributed before each major holiday takes countless hours, dedicated volunteers, and people willing to give something incredibly valuable: their time.
And year after year, MC Bandidos, led by Jude Reid from Ramat Gan, answers that call.
Before every major holiday, members of the motorcycle club come to our Chasdei Naomi branch in Tel Aviv, put aside their usual routines, roll up their sleeves, and get to work packing food boxes for those who need them most.
Their motorcycles may bring them together, but it is their commitment to helping others that brings them to Chasdei Naomi time and time again.
Together with our volunteers, they help prepare food packages that will reach families in need, elderly people, and Holocaust survivors throughout Israel — people who deserve to sit down to a holiday meal with dignity and without worrying about whether there will be enough food.
What may seem like a few hours of volunteering can mean so much more to the person who receives that box.
We are incredibly grateful to the MC Bandidos family for making giving back a tradition and for standing beside Chasdei Naomi holiday after holiday.
Your continued dedication reminds us that helping others isn’t something we do once in a while; it’s something we do together, every time people need us.
Together, we can make sure that every holiday, one more family has food on the table and one more person feels remembered.
