Lots of festive and fun activities on Shavuot

Hundreds of Volunteers, Dozens of Distribution Centers, and Hundreds of Shavuot Food Packages

In preparation for the Shavuot holiday, Chasdei Naomi is currently leading a large-scale food packing and distribution operation.

Our goal is to ensure that even the most vulnerable families can celebrate Shavuot with dignity and enjoy a festive holiday meal filled with abundance.

From Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, Netivot, Tiberias, Jerusalem, and many other cities across Israel, our branch managers are working tirelessly to deliver food packages as quickly as possible to families who need them most.

As Shavuot approaches, our packing and distribution centers nationwide are operating at full capacity. Hundreds of volunteers from across Israel have joined this important logistical effort, packing and distributing dairy-filled food baskets to families in need, Holocaust survivors, and elderly individuals who cannot afford these essential holiday items.

Each food package includes milk, chocolate milk, yellow cheese, Bulgarian cheese, white cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, dairy desserts, cream, and many other dairy products.

And of course—every basket includes a delicious cheesecake and a milk chocolate bar to bring a smile to someone’s face.

This entire operation is driven by a spirit of generosity and volunteerism, with one clear mission: to ensure that no family and no elderly person is left without a dignified holiday meal.

Among the volunteers taking part in this campaign were employees from Netivei Israel, Apax, and Yotpo, alongside soldiers, students, and individuals from communities across the country. Together, they packed hundreds of food baskets filled with dairy products, baked goods, dry goods, and other essential groceries.

A Heartwarming Partnership with Holocaust Survivors and the Elderly

Alongside the food packing efforts, a very special activity took place at an assisted living residence in Jerusalem. Holocaust survivors participated in a festive baking workshop led by a professional pastry chef, where they prepared individual cheesecakes for Shavuot.

The survivors were deeply moved by the celebration and by the opportunity to spend time with the young volunteers.

The following day, Chasdei Naomi hosted another festive event at a senior residence in Jerusalem, where Holocaust survivors lovingly prepared Shavuot cakes for Israeli soldiers.

With whipped cream, biscuits, and an abundance of love, the cakes were carefully decorated before our team delivered them to soldiers serving at security checkpoints.

Together with the cakes, the soldiers received heartfelt handwritten letters that the Holocaust survivors had written and attached to each package.

The encounters were filled with enormous smiles, heartfelt emotion, and an atmosphere that words simply cannot describe.

Holocaust Survivors Preparing Meals for Soldiers

In Netanya, at the “Warm Home” community center, we gathered with local Holocaust survivors for another moving initiative. Using food provided by Chasdei Naomi, they prepared a generous holiday meal for soldiers stationed in Gaza.

The menu included fresh salads, burekas, croissants, chocolate cream puffs, and a wide variety of dairy products that brightened the Shavuot holiday for 120 soldiers.

In addition, Shavuot food packages were distributed to the Holocaust survivors who participated in the event, followed by a festive dairy meal accompanied by music and the joyful spirit of the holiday.

The Holocaust survivors welcomed the soldiers with tremendous excitement and warmth.

Together We Can Bring Hope This Shavuot

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters and donors, Chasdei Naomi is able to bring joy, dignity, and hope to thousands of families, Holocaust survivors, and elderly individuals throughout Israel during Shavuot.

With your continued support, we can reach even more people who are struggling to make ends meet and ensure that every family can celebrate the holiday with dignity.
