When the Wonderful Students of Shalva Met Our Brave Soldiers.
As part of Good Deeds Day, celebrated in Jerusalem, Chasdei Naomi held a deeply moving activity filled with light and kindness, together with students from the Shalva Association.
Shalva is an Israeli organization that supports individuals with disabilities and their families, from childhood through adulthood.
The organization provides therapy, inclusive education, social activities, vocational training, and family support, with the goal of promoting social inclusion and independence for people with disabilities in Israel.
Together, with immense love and a true sense of purpose, the students prepared and packed sweet treat packages and gifts for Border Police (MAGAV) soldiers.
At the heart of this special activity was the wonderful Avraham Tzimblist, a Shalva student whose brother, Eliyahu Moshe Tzimblist z״l, was a soldier in Battalion 601 of the Combat Engineering Corps. Eliyahu fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip on the 9th of Sivan, 5784, at just 21 years old.

As this week marked the anniversary of his passing, we chose to dedicate this activity in his memory and for the elevation of his soul — continuing the spirit of giving, unity, and love for the people of Israel that he represented throughout his life.

The incredible Shalva students sat together, put in their time and effort, and lovingly packed bags filled with snacks and treats from the heart.
Later that same day, the amazing MAGAV soldiers arrived to collect the packages. They were moved to tears by the warmth, dedication, and love that could be felt in every single bag.
This is just a small glimpse of the ongoing work carried out by Chasdei Naomi throughout the year — supporting IDF soldiers, elderly people, Holocaust survivors, and families in need across Israel.
