Upon completing a decade of activity of the great “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization at Beitar Illit, the city of Torah and Hasidism in the Judean Mountains, Rabbi Yossef Cohen, Chairman of the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization and management representatives met with Rabbi Meir Rubenstein, Mayor of Beitar Illit, to discuss the development and expansion of the activities for the benefit of the needy families in cooperation with the “Beitar Family” Fund.
Rabbi Rubenstein, who was glad to receive Rabbi Cohen and the Organization representatives, cited the broad scope of the impressive activity of the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization for the benefit of the needy families from Beitar Illit and of the families, who are referred for assistance to the “Hasdei Naomi” by the Municipality Department of Welfare.
Rabbi Rubenstein said “The “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization is an important and integral part in the layout plan of assistance to the deprived families of our city, and we are grateful for this”.
In front of the Mayor and his staff, Rabbi Yossef Cohen surveyed the scope of their activities at Beitar Illit over the last decade, during which the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization has been supporting hundreds of needy families from the city with a regular assistance in food products, fruit and vegetables, clothes, etc. The distribution is executed by devoted operatives, who operate the location on a full volunteering basis and with fantastic devotion.
Lately, in view of the increase of applications for assistance, there has been a need for a more decent location, which would address all the numerous needs. Rabbi Meir Rubenstein promised to mobilize himself with all his power in order to assist the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization and from now on the activities will take place in cooperation with the “Beitar Family” Fund project for the sake of the city residents.
Rabbi Yossef Cohen warmly thanked the Mayor of Beitar Illit Rabbi Meir Rubenstein for the blessed cooperation.
