FROM SERVING THE NATION TO SERVING THE COMMUNITY

Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, soldiers from the Home Front Command’s Officer Training Preparation Course came to Chasdei Naomi to volunteer and help pack food boxes that will soon be distributed to elderly people, Holocaust survivors, and families in need across Israel.

The soldiers joined Chasdei Naomi’s dedicated volunteer network, which works around the clock to prepare for the upcoming holidays. Every day, hundreds of food packages are packed and prepared for families who need assistance, helping to ensure that they can celebrate Rosh Hashanah with a full and dignified holiday meal.

This special volunteer effort before Rosh Hashanah is part of Chasdei Naomi’s year-round commitment to helping families in need. Every month, the organization distributes food packages, fresh fruits and vegetables, baby food and formula, as well as ongoing assistance to elderly people, Holocaust survivors, and families facing financial hardship.

The involvement of Home Front Command soldiers is a moving example of the connection between service, social responsibility, and giving back to the community. Alongside their important responsibilities, these soldiers are choosing to dedicate their time and energy to helping those who need it most.

With the support of hundreds of volunteers, staff members, and donors, Chasdei Naomi continues to serve communities across Israel, reaching more and more families every day.

We sincerely thank the soldiers from the Home Front Command’s Officer Training Preparation Course for volunteering their time, lending a helping hand, and giving so generously of themselves.

Together, we will continue working to ensure that every family, elderly person, and Holocaust survivor can receive the food and support they need to celebrate the holidays with dignity and have the help they need throughout the year.
